Great American Classics is proud to offer up for sale this
absolutely beautiful 1968 RS/SS Camaro Convertible. This beauty
is probably one of the most well optioned Camaros I've ever
seen. You will be amazed at the amount of attention you get in
this car. People are always asking if they can have their
picture taken with the car. The ride quality of this camaro is
awsome and simply glides along and is very comfortable and easy
to drive. It has a fresh rebuilt 327 with a 350 crank making
it a 350 and just a step up from stock cam and flat tops. This
is not the original motor. It is strong and shifts just as it
should. The transmission is a turbo 350 automatic and the rear
end is a 12 bolt posi with what I believe to be 373 gears. You
can steer this car with your pinky it is so easy and smooth
with power steering. This car is equiped with factory Disc
Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Deluxe Interior, Tilt
Steering Column, Tick Tock Tach (clock does not work), Center
Console with Factory Console Gauges, Power Top, Power Windows,
Fold Down Rear Seat, RS appearance group and yes believe it or
not Factory Cruise Control ( everything there except actuator
and bracket). Note the AC is not hooked up in pictures but is
being finished before auction ends.
The paint on this car is fresh and is very glossy and smooth.
New weatherstripping was installed throughout including
convertible top rubber. The interior is very nice and shows
well. The convertible top is new and the frame was
reconditioned also. The hideaway headlights work great and have
been completely reworked. As you can see in the pictures the
underside of the car is as solid as the rest of the car. There
are all new polyurathane subframe bushings installed also. The
car was also treated to sound deadening fat mat throughout
making the ride quality just that much better. I am certain
that I have missed something as there are just too many things
to list here.
